This post has been long overdue, we are almost done with January 2020 and here I am still in 2019, no shame.

‘I was experiencing some technical difficulties’ in Mariah’s voice.

Anyway I had promised a Dubai post and here it is. Dubai was such an adventure to say the least.

We experienced and soaked in all the culture, the good and the bad challenging. But all in all we had the time of our lives. I’ll let the photos do the talking.

On to the promised story ‘The flight back’.

Our flight was supposed to be on the 15th of October at 1am. On the 14th we were busy exploring the city like the tourists we are. Thereafter, at around 7pm, we went back to the apartment, drunk by the pool, then went back to the house to watch ‘The long grass’ on Netflix. After the movie we all went to sleep and as it is tradition I started going through my messages and found one from my sister saying “Have a safe flight back”…”Safe flight?” ‘Hold up! Wait, that’s not until tomorrow, no?’ Then I looked at the time and date on my phone… It was 12:00am 15th oct 2019. Just an hour before takeoff. The horror!

I frantically woke up everyone and watched as panic struck😂. There was no way we could’ve made it to the airport on time but we went anyway.

Long story short, we had to book another flight back the next day.

I honestly couldn’t stop laughing because how can 3 people with various degrees not be able to tell time?… smh.

Moral of the story is, learn how to tell time and get you some friends who can tell time😥.
