BAKER BOY EFFECT

Baker boy hats also known as fisherman hats or newsboy hats have been doing their rounds on the internet since last year…
Let me stop myself right there.
First of all, who comes up with these names? I get the newsboy and baker boy bit because of Oliver Twist, but fisherman? I thought fishermen wore those round bucket hats? This is jumbled up.
Anyway…
The versatility of this hat is next level. You could almost wear it with anything and 9 times out of 10 it will work.
If you think I’m wrong, go check out my board on Pinterest called The Baker Boy Effect and get some inspiration on other ways to style this gem.
Since the style was derived from the 14th century, I paired it with the classic bell bottom jeans and platform shoes, both fashion staples in the 60’s.
Speaking of Platform, can you believe I got these ZARA Jeans for Kes.250 from Platform Two Rivers Mall?! I was so shook I bought 2 identical pairs. No, I’m not lucky I’m blessed. Haha!
What do you think of the entire look?
