I have always loved experimenting with my look

and seeing what works and what doesn’t.

It’s a huge risk especially if the results are permanent, but then again what is life without risks?

Today I’m going to share some guidelines on how to reinvent your look.

1. Shake up your closet.

 Clean out your closet. It will help you rediscover items that you forgot about and help you determine what additions can take your closet several notches up.

I read somewhere that if you can’t determine which clothes to let go,

flip all  the hangers in your closet to face you and every time you wear an item flip it back the other way.

Then by the end of the year you can establish what to let go by the hungers that are not flipped.

2. Take a bold step.

Do something different with your hair, you can chop it all off like I did… maybe not.

Baby steps, maybe a little trim, nothing too drastic,

or add some colour.

3. Wear a bold new accessory.

I got my septum pierced! Kidding, I don’t think I can stand that kind of pain.

It’s a faux septum ring. A bold new accessory can be anything; sunglasses, neck pieces, handbags, anything that makes you stand out.

4. Try out a new lip colour.

I tried on this fuchsia lip stain and I loved it.

I recommend a classic red lip colour, it is flattering on all skin tones and nothing screams fancy than a red lip.

(my favorite is Nouba 46)

5. Wear classic nail polish colours.

I’m over neon colours. Moody blacks, whites and nudes are the colours I’m into of late.

They will always be timeless and sophisticated.
