DIARY OF A CREATIVE
Contrary to popular belief, being a creative is not easy.
We all work so darn hard to create a pièce de résistance and sometimes it doesn’t come out as epic as we envisioned it. Or, if you are lucky to attain the masterpiece, it may end up not getting as much interaction as you anticipated. Frustrating, right?
I respect all the creatives out there who still haven’t given up on their craft, mad respect!
As you may know, I’m a creative in more ways than one but today let’s just talk about fashion blogging.
I can’t count the number of times I have gone out to have my photos taken/take photos, and I had no idea that someone had messed up my regular camera settings or someone touched the camera lens etc…. and when I get home and project the photos they are all looking blurry. (*clenches fist like the Arthur meme*)
Imagining the amount of time I put in to beg my sisters or my friends to take those photos, putting together an outfit, caking my face, looking for a location to shoot and after all that, I come home to blurry photos? Makes me want to raise hell.
Other times, The photos come out looking very…what’s the word… grotesque. I know it’s hard to believe given my radiant beauty, but sometimes the camera just refuses to catch it. Ugh!
Writer’s block, wardrobe mishaps… the list is never ending.
But even with all those challenges, I don’t think I can give it up, there’s a sense of satisfaction every time I hit that publish button. I need that zing in my life.
