A few days ago, one of my friends invited me for lunch. I was exhilarated about the idea mostly cause It was a good window to rock this dress that I’ve been looking forward to wear from vipme.com. Sorry Nancy, I prefer looking fancy, haha! Seriously though, this dress makes me feel… powerful.

Everyone knows when the girls are hanging out, it is never ‘just lunch’. You know us girls, lunch turns into happy hour and happy hour turns into aimless twerking on top of a bar #CoyoteUgly. I’m kidding! We’d never do that… 🙂

The day of,

she picks me up and we meet our other close friend there.

We are having a good old time, good music, good food and of course cocktails!

There’s a guy seated behind us, alone. He looks polished, semi-tall, good shoes, full eyebrows and sparkly pearly whites. He keeps looking over to our table, at my friend Nancy (to be specific). She notices and contemplates saying hi to him, he looks like he is also contemplating the same… but none of them gather enough courage to do so. This liquor is not giving anyone any courage.

Being the traditionalist I am, I believe that guys should always make the first move. But my friends beg to differ, apparently it’s not the case anymore. I mean… I understand it’s 2017 and all the rules have changed, but please, I feel like us girls have enough on our plate already. You can’t expect us to add ‘approaching a guy first‘ to that list. Could you guys please make the first move so that we can politely reject you. Thank you!
