LOVE COAT
Recently I ran into an old friend and we started catching up. We talked about everything that has been going on in our lives and it felt so good to vent a little. It’s always therapeutic to have someone to talk to.
But something she told me resonated with me, when it came to the subject of life and how it’s throwing punches at us.
She said when she feels lowest in her life and she needs to remind herself that she’s still the shit and life isn’t all that bad, she makes a ‘Feel good’ list, meaning, she writes a list of all the things that make her feel good and does them.
I used her logic and came up with a few.
My “Feel Good” list has: a lot laughing(Watching Ali Wong-Baby Cobra, American Housewife and recently Grown-ish), Smelling flowers, walking/jogging, leisurely lunch/dinners with friends, having a glass of wine at home listening to music, Skype/talking to people I love, getting new things like this love coat and the list goes on. All these helps whenever I’m in a funk. Try it!
